Cosmoprof Asia 2018 / Forecast

Pinch me! I am so grateful to announce that I have been invited back to Hong Kong by Cosmoprof Asia again to be their official private nail & hair detective as part of a social media campaign #BeautyHunt, to spot trends at the convention this year.  If you are planning on going be sure to check out their website HERE for all the happenings, catch me at ALL of the hair and nail events. That means I need to start getting ready now, like yesterday, like the day before that. Well actually I did and I even documented it, lucky you!

Currently, I’m trying to grow out my natural nails so I opted to skip my usual gem encrusted extensions for short and cute with some hand painted nail art by half of my favorite nail art duo in Los Angeles, Donne of Hey Nice Nails.  We decided on a wavy design using colors from the flags of Hong Kong, Mexico, Malaysia, and America.

This year instead of my usual long blonde California girl hair, I cut it all off and had some fun with gypsy cowboy & hair maven Jeremy Michael. I was tossing and turning between taking my now short blonde hair yellow, orange, or pink.  It seems we settled somewhere in between and landed on Too Cute Coral by Pravana.  My photo diary of the process below, roots to bleach, finishing with coral fingerwaves. Color only because I am still growing it out ;-) Last cut was by mamacita Ana Estella.

See you soon Hong Kong!

New Werk ! Ebay

Imagine my surprise to be contacted by the insanely talented Open the Portal studio team for this cute little web commercial series produced for Ebay. This 12 second stop motion video took over 16 hours! Shout out to the hand model Nivy Jay for literally holding it down. Make sure to watch the video in the highest quality too. Enjoy.

New Werk ! Vogue Arabia

Cheers to Jack Waterlot, my genius friend and mastermind behind these images.  Leave it to him to curate the actual dream team that made this shoot possible, from the perfect hair, face, and wardrobe, to the fantastic location.  Thank you for including me in this top notch line up with none other than classic black almond shaped nails.  We were feeling fancy so I used Chanel le vernis of course, Gris Obscur to be exact.
